In a moving act of compassion and service, the Ruwadzano RweWadzimai (RRW) of Dora North Circuit carried out a heartfelt outreach visit to Fairfield Children’s Home, bringing both practical support and a powerful message of love to the children in their care.

Rooted in their calling to serve, the women came not only with supplies, but with presence, encouragement, and a deep sense of responsibility to uplift vulnerable members of the community. The visit reflected a living faith—one that goes beyond words and finds expression in tangible acts of kindness.

As part of this mission, the women presented a carefully assembled donation of essential groceries to support the home’s daily needs. These included:

  • 24 bottles of 2-litre cooking oil,
  • 20 packs of 2kg rice,
  • 20 packs of 2kg sugar,
  • 30 packets of 1kg salt,
  • 4 bags of 5kg flour,
  • 40 packets of 400g spaghetti,
  • 40 sachets of 50g Royco,
  • 8 packets of 750g powdered milk,
  • 5 packs of 1kg soya chunks,
  • 4 packets of 250g tea bags,
  • 10 packs of 4-roll tissue paper,
  • 24 bars of laundry soap,
  • 20 bars of 250g bath soap,
  • 24 tubes of 100ml toothpaste,
  • 72 toothbrushes, and 2
  • 10 boxes of matches.

Each item was thoughtfully contributed to enhance nutrition, hygiene, and the overall well-being of the children.

Receiving the donation, the Administrator of the home, Rev Chikosi, expressed sincere appreciation for the gesture:
“We are deeply grateful to the Ruwadzano RweWadzimai for this generous and timely support. What you have brought today goes beyond groceries, it is a message to these children that they are loved, remembered, and valued. Partnerships like this strengthen our work and give the children hope for a better tomorrow.”

The visit was not limited to the handover of goods. The women spent time interacting with the children, sharing moments of joy, encouragement, and fellowship. Through these interactions, they created a warm and affirming environment that reminded the children they are not alone.

Speaking on behalf of the women, the RRW Evangelism Chairperson, Nelia Mupoda, emphasized the deeper meaning of the outreach:
“As Ruwadzano RweWadzimai, we believe that evangelism is not only about words but about action. This visit is part of our calling to reach out with love, to serve, and to respond to the needs of our communities. When we give, we are expressing the heart of Christ and making our faith visible.”

This outreach stands as a powerful testimony of what the church can achieve when faith is put into action. It challenges the broader community to see mission not as an occasional activity, but as a lifestyle of service, compassion, and intentional care for others.
