Deuteronomy 29:5 – “Yet the LORD says, ‘During the forty years that I led you through the wilderness, your clothes did not wear out, nor did the sandals on your feet.’”

As the people of Israel looked back on their journey through the wilderness, the Lord reminded them of something remarkable. For forty years they traveled through a harsh and uncertain environment, yet their clothes did not wear out and their sandals did not fail. In a place where survival seemed difficult, God quietly sustained them day after day.

This powerful reminder shows us that the Lord is not only the God who leads us but also the God who sustains us. He does not simply point us toward the path we should walk. He walks with us and ensures that we have what we need along the way.

In every stage of life we can trust the Lord for His provision. There may be seasons when resources seem limited or when the future appears uncertain. Yet God knows exactly what we need. He is able to provide in ways that go beyond our understanding. What He gives is not only sufficient but also lasting.

The Lord knows how to preserve and extend the life of what He places in our hands. He can stretch what seems small and make it more than enough. He can protect what we have and ensure that it serves its purpose in our lives. His care is detailed and faithful.

When we look back over our own journeys, we may also recognize moments when God sustained us in ways we did not fully notice at the time. He carried us through challenges, protected us in difficult seasons, and provided what was needed at exactly the right moment.

Today you can rest in the assurance that the same God who sustained His people in the wilderness is sustaining you. He sees every step you take and understands every need you carry. Trust Him with this season of your life and believe that His faithful hand will carry you through.

PRAYER:

Lord, thank You for the wonderful way in which You carry and preserve me throughout life. I know that You will sustain me, and I trust in You for my daily provision and for the great way in which You promise to undertake for me. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Good morning to you all. Have a wonderful Monday.
