Psalm 16:6 – “The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me.”

There are moments in life when the pace is so fast and the demands so loud that we forget to look back and recognize the goodness of God. Yet this verse invites us to pause and reflect. It reminds us that God has been intentional about where He has placed us, how He has guided us, and what He has entrusted to us. Nothing in your life is accidental in the hands of a faithful God.

To say that the lines have fallen in pleasant places is to acknowledge that the Lord has drawn the boundaries of your life with care and love. Even when the journey has included hardship, loss, or waiting, God has been shaping a beautiful heritage for you. What you have today is not only the result of your effort, but a testimony of His grace, protection, and provision.

Taking time to count your blessings opens your eyes to God’s faithfulness. Gratitude shifts your focus from what is missing to what has already been given. As you begin to name those blessings, both big and small, you may be surprised at how much the Lord has already done for you. Thanksgiving strengthens your faith and renews your confidence in God’s future plans.

When you appreciate what God has done, your heart finds rest and your spirit is filled with joy. Gratitude allows you to trust Him not only for yesterday and today, but also for tomorrow. The same God who has been faithful will continue to lead you into pleasant places.

Prayer

Lord, today I choose to count my blessings and remind myself of what You have done for me. At the same time, I know I can trust You with my future and my hopes and dreams. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Good morning to you all. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
