Psalm 91:4 – “He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings, you will find refuge.”
This verse paints a tender and powerful picture of God’s care. Like a bird spreading its wings over its young, the Lord draws His people close and surrounds them with His protection. Under His wings is not a place of fear or uncertainty. It is a place of safety, warmth, and peace.
God’s protection is both gentle and strong. He does not merely watch from a distance. He comes close, covers, and shields. When life feels threatening or overwhelming, God moves us into His safekeeping. Under His wings, we are not exposed to harm or left to face danger alone.
Finding refuge under God’s wings requires trust. It means choosing faith over fear and resting in His promises rather than our worries. Trusting God’s protection does not mean the absence of challenges. It means knowing that no matter what we face, we are securely held by Him.
As a loving Father, God understands our vulnerability. He knows when we are weary and when we need shelter. His wings are always open, inviting us to come closer and rest. In His presence, fear loses its power and confidence is restored.
As you begin this day, choose the safety of God’s covering. Step into His refuge with faith, knowing that His protection surrounds you and His care will never fail.
Prayer
Lord, how awesome it is to know that You are my protection and my refuge. I choose the safety and security of living under Your wings. May I never underestimate the protective power of trusting in You. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
