Exodus 16:10b – “…they looked toward the wilderness, and behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud.”

The people of Israel were standing in the wilderness, a place of uncertainty, lack, and complaint. It was not a setting that suggested victory or abundance. Yet in that very place, when they looked, the glory of the Lord appeared. This moment teaches us a powerful truth. God often reveals His presence not after the challenge has passed, but right in the middle of it.

The wilderness represents seasons when answers are unclear and the path ahead feels uncomfortable. It is easy in such moments to focus only on what is missing or what feels difficult. Yet God invites His people to lift their eyes. When they looked, they saw His glory. His presence was already there, waiting to be noticed.

God desires that His presence becomes a living reality in our daily lives. He wants us to expect Him, to look for His hand at work, and to recognize the quiet ways He reveals Himself. Sometimes His glory appears in provision. Sometimes it appears in peace. Sometimes it appears simply as the assurance that He is near.

Even when it seems unlikely, God reveals Himself. The cloud in the wilderness was a sign that He was guiding, protecting, and staying with His people. In the same way, God remains present in your challenges. He has not stepped away from your situation. His glory can still be seen if we choose to look with faith.

As you begin this day, ask God to sharpen your spiritual vision. Look beyond the difficulty and expect His presence. The wilderness is not empty. It can become the place where God’s glory is revealed.

Prayer

Lord, may the eyes of my heart be opened to see Your hand at work in my life. May I not miss those special and unique moments when Your presence can suddenly be experienced around me. May I look and see Your glory even when facing challenges. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Good morning to you all. Have a blessed Tuesday.
