Nehemiah 13:31b – “Remember me with favour, my God.”
These simple words carry deep humility and sincere faith. Nehemiah does not list his achievements or demand a reward. He brings a quiet and honest prayer before God. Remember me with favour. It is a cry that comes from a heart that has served faithfully and now entrusts the outcome entirely to God.
Nehemiah had laboured, sacrificed, and stood firm for what was right, often at great personal cost. His prayer reminds us that it is never too late to ask God for His blessing, help, and favour. God sees what others overlook. He notices the unseen acts of obedience, the quiet sacrifices, and the faithfulness that goes unrecognized by people.
The Lord does not forget what is done in love and obedience to Him. Every prayer offered, every act of service, and every step of faith is known to God. When we feel weary or unnoticed, this truth becomes a source of strength. God’s memory is perfect, and His timing is precise.
When God remembers with favour, He intervenes. He opens doors that no one can shut. He pours out blessing in ways that renew hope and restore joy. His favour is not earned by performance but received through trust and faithfulness.
As you begin this new day, let Nehemiah’s prayer become your own. Place your life, your work, and your future into God’s hands. Trust that He sees you, knows you, and at the right time will respond with grace and favour.
Prayer
Lord, today I want to pause and ask You to remember me with favour, my God. You know all things, and You see all things, and I pray that my work and faith will be rewarded as I continue to trust You. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Good morning to you all. Have a wonderful Monday.
