Psalm 31:19 – “How great is Your goodness, which You have stored up for those who fear You, which You bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in You.”

The psalmist pauses in awe as he reflects on the goodness of God. He does not speak of it as something small or occasional. He declares it to be great. God’s goodness flows from a heart filled with love, mercy, and intentional care for His people. It is not random or accidental. It is personal and purposeful.

This verse reveals a powerful truth. God stores up His goodness. Nothing is wasted. Every prayer, every tear, every season of waiting is seen by Him. At the appointed time, He releases what He has prepared. His goodness often arrives when it is most needed, bringing healing, direction, and transformation into our lives.

God does not hide His goodness. The psalmist tells us that He bestows it in the sight of others. What God does in your life can become a testimony that points others to His faithfulness. His goodness has the power to silence fear, overcome opposition, and remind us that He is actively at work on our behalf.

Our role is clear. We are called to take refuge in Him. Refuge speaks of trust, surrender, and safety. When we choose to run to God rather than away from Him, we place ourselves under His covering. Trusting Him in all things opens the door for His goodness to shape our lives and strengthen our faith.

As you begin this day, take a moment to thank God for His goodness. Not only for what you have already seen, but also for what He has stored up for you. Rest in the assurance that His goodness is greater than every challenge you face.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for Your goodness and kindness towards me. I choose to take refuge in You and to find my security in You. I pray that You will place Your goodness on me, in the face of those things which would like to see me destroyed. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Good morning to you all. Have a wonderful Tuesday.
