Ezekiel 36:26 – “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”
God speaks directly to the deepest part of who we are, our heart. He knows that everything we do flows from it. Life’s disappointments, pain, betrayal, and weariness can slowly harden our hearts without us even noticing. What once felt tender and responsive can become guarded, resistant, and heavy. Yet the Lord does not condemn us for this. Instead, He lovingly offers renewal.
God is not interested in surface change alone. He wants transformation from the inside out. Only He can soften what has become hard, heal what has been wounded, and restore what has been broken. A heart of flesh is a heart that can feel again, trust again, love again, and respond to God with humility and obedience. This is a work that no human effort can accomplish. It is a divine exchange that only God can perform.
When we surrender our hearts to Him, we give Him permission to remove bitterness, pride, fear, and spiritual numbness. He replaces them with sensitivity to His voice, compassion for others, and a renewed desire to walk in His ways. This renewal is not about perfection but about direction. A new heart aligns us more closely with God’s will and allows His Spirit to shape our attitudes, choices, and responses.
Today, God invites you to bring your heart just as it is. He is gentle, patient, and faithful to complete the work He begins. Let Him touch the places you have kept hidden. Let Him restore softness where there has been resistance. A renewed heart leads to renewed life.
Prayer
Lord, I give You full access to my heart and my spirit. Remove anything within me that has become hard, cold, or resistant to Your will. Give me a new heart and place a new spirit within me so that my life may reflect Your love and truth. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Good morning to you all. Have a wonderful and blessed Wednesday.
