‘In You, LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame.’ – Psalm 71:1

Theme:

Life often confronts us with moments that leave us feeling vulnerable, exposed, or uncertain. At times, the storms of life rage so fiercely that we wonder if we will make it through. Yet in these moments, God invites us to take refuge in Him. He is not a distant observer to our struggles, but a strong and present help — a Mighty Fortress where our hearts can find peace and our souls can find safety.

To take refuge in God is to choose to place our trust in His unfailing love and power. It means believing that no matter what happens around us, He is greater than our fears, our shame, and our pain. When the world feels unstable, His presence remains unshakable. When our hearts are weary, His arms are wide open, ready to embrace and protect us.

David’s cry in this psalm is not one of weakness, but of deep faith. He recognizes that God alone can guard his dignity, his hope, and his future. In the same way, God wants to be your refuge. You can run to Him when life feels too heavy. You can trust Him to defend your name when you feel misunderstood. You can lean on Him when your strength runs out.

In His refuge, there is no shame — only restoration. In His presence, fear loses its power, and faith is renewed. So today, take shelter in the Lord your Fortress. Let His presence surround you with peace, confidence, and steadfast love that will never fail.

PRAYER:

Lord, thank You that in every situation and all circumstances, I can come to You. You are my Mighty Fortress, and in You, I can find safety, hope, and courage. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Good morning to you all. Have a wonderful Friday.
