‘The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall because it had its foundation on the rock.’ – Matthew 7:25
Life brings with it moments of calm and moments of chaos. There are times when the sun shines brightly and everything seems secure, but there are also seasons when the rain pours, the winds howl, and the floods threaten to sweep everything away. None of us are spared from the storms of life. They come in many forms—loss, disappointment, sickness, uncertainty, or betrayal. Yet, the promise of God is that if our lives are built on the right foundation, we will not be destroyed.
That foundation is Jesus Christ. He is the Rock that never shifts, never cracks, and never fails. When everything around you seems unstable, He remains firm. Building your life on Him means trusting His Word, obeying His teachings, and leaning on His strength instead of your own. It means choosing faith over fear and hope over despair, even when the winds are howling.
The difference between the house that stands and the one that falls is not the absence of storms but the presence of the Rock beneath. When Christ is your foundation, you may be shaken, but you will not be broken. You may bend, but you will not collapse. His grace will hold you, His love will sustain you, and His faithfulness will see you through.
So, whatever storm you are facing today, do not be afraid. Anchor yourself in Jesus. Let His Word be your firm ground, His promises your shelter, and His presence your strength. The storm will pass, and when it does, you will still be standing—strong, steadfast, and unshaken—because your foundation is the Rock of Ages.
PRAYER:
Lord, I choose to build my life, my future, and my hopes and dreams on You. You are the solid Rock on which I can depend, and You will make sure that I come through the storm and that I will still be standing. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Good morning to you all. Have a blessed Tuesday.
