“And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.” – Isaiah 61:7
There are times in life when we walk through seasons of pain, disappointment and loss. We may face shame or injustice, and it can feel as though our hopes have been buried under the weight of life’s trials. But in the midst of it all, the Lord speaks a promise that lifts our hearts and gives us strength to carry on.
God does not overlook your suffering. He does not ignore your tears. He sees every hardship you endure, and He has already prepared a portion for you that is more than enough. He promises a double portion in place of your shame and sorrow. He does not only restore what was lost. He multiplies it. What the enemy meant for harm, God will use for your good. What was broken, God will rebuild. Where you have been mocked, He will raise you up with honor. Where there was mourning, He will fill you with everlasting joy.
This is the nature of our God. He is the God of more than enough. He is the God who restores the years the locusts have eaten. He is the God who brings beauty from ashes and joy from mourning. His blessings are not limited. His favor can reach you even in the hardest of places. He is your Redeemer, your Restorer and your Rewarder.
So take heart today. Believe again. Hope again. Trust again. There is an inheritance that awaits you. Not just what you lost, but double. And when He restores, He does it with joy that never fades.
PRAYER:
Lord, thank You that You are the God of restoration. You see every place of lack and sorrow in my life, and You promise not just to make it right, but to bless me with a double portion. I receive Your everlasting joy. May my life be a testimony of Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Good morning to you all. Have a blessed Wednesday.
