Exodus 16:11 – “Then the LORD said to Moses…”

These simple words remind us that God is a speaking God. He does not remain silent or distant. In the wilderness, at a moment of need and uncertainty, the Lord spoke to Moses. His words were not casual or random. They carried direction, provision, and clarity for His people.

God still speaks today. He speaks through His Word, through the gentle prompting of the Holy Spirit, and through moments that stir our hearts toward action. Often His voice comes with a specific purpose. It may be an instruction, a correction, an encouragement, or a call to trust Him more deeply.

The important question is not only whether God is speaking, but whether we are listening. Even more challenging is whether we are willing to obey. Obedience is the natural response to a God who speaks with wisdom and love. When we respond in obedience, we position ourselves to experience His provision and guidance.

In Exodus, God spoke because He cared for His people and wanted to meet their needs. His guidance was part of His ongoing provision. In the same way, God’s leading in your life is evidence of His care. He does not guide to confuse or burden you. He guides to protect, provide, and align your steps with His purposes.

As you begin this day, reflect on the last prompting you sensed from the Lord. Ask Him to make His voice clear and your heart responsive. Choose to listen carefully and obey faithfully, trusting that every word He speaks is filled with purpose.

Prayer

Lord, in Your ongoing provision and care for me, You want to lead and guide me in the way I should go. May my ears be attentive, and may my spirit be willing to listen and obey what You are leading me to do. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Good morning to you all. Have a blessed Wednesday.
