Micah 7:8 – “Do not gloat over me, my enemy. Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light.”

This verse is a bold declaration of faith spoken in the middle of struggle. It does not deny the reality of falling or sitting in darkness. Instead, it refuses to let those moments define the final outcome. Micah speaks with confidence, not in his own strength, but in the faithfulness of the Lord. Falling is not the end. Darkness is not permanent.

There are times when the enemy appears to have the upper hand. Circumstances may mock your faith and whisper that defeat has won. Yet this Scripture reminds us that victory is not determined by the moment you fall, but by the God who lifts you up. The enemy may gloat briefly, but God always has the final word.

The Lord is your light. Light brings clarity, direction, and hope. When you sit in darkness, unsure of your next step, God does not abandon you. He shines His presence into your situation and gives you strength to rise again. His light exposes lies, restores confidence, and leads you forward.

This devotion is a call to action. Rise up. Take your position again. Refuse to remain on the ground. God is with you, strengthening your heart and steadying your steps. Overcoming is not a distant dream. It is your destination in Christ.

As you begin this day, lift your eyes with confidence. You may have stumbled, but you will rise. You may have walked through darkness, but the Lord Himself is your light.

Prayer

Lord, thank You that because You are with me, no enemy will keep me down. Your light will flood my path and Your strength will enable me to stand and see the breakthrough. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Good morning to you all. Have a blessed Saturday.
