Song of Solomon 2:11–12 – “See! The winter is past. The season of singing has come.”
These words announce a shift that brings relief and joy. Winter, with its cold, silence, and barrenness, does not last forever. God Himself declares that there is a time when it passes and something new begins. Seasons in our lives also change under His authority. No season, especially a painful or difficult one, has permission to remain longer than God allows.
God is the One who appoints times and seasons. When the moment is right, He moves us forward. The season of waiting gives way to growth. The season of tears gives way to joy. What once felt heavy and unproductive begins to flourish. God does not rush this process, but He is always faithful to complete it.
The season of singing speaks of renewed joy, restored hope, and fresh life. It is an invitation to lift your voice again after a long silence. God brings beauty where there was barrenness and melody where there was mourning. His new seasons awaken faith and stir the heart to expect good things again.
This devotion calls you to step forward. Do not remain bound to yesterday’s winter. God is with you as you move into what He has prepared. Trust Him as He leads you from difficulty into flourishing. Walk forward with hope, knowing that the same God who allowed the winter is now announcing its end.
As you begin this day, receive this promise. Your season is changing. God is at work, and the time for new life has come.
Prayer
Lord, You are the One who changes seasons and times. I pray that You will work in my life and heart so that I can enjoy the new season that You have prepared for me. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Good morning to you all. Have a blessed Thursday.
