Luke 2:7 – “She gave birth to her firstborn, a Son. She laid Him in a manger because there was no room for them in the inn.”
This verse gently reminds us of one of the most profound moments in history. The Son of God came into the world quietly, humbly, and without recognition. While the world was busy, distracted, and preoccupied, there was no room prepared for Him. Yet even in that moment, God’s greatest gift was given.
Today, life can feel just as busy and demanding. Schedules are full, responsibilities are heavy, and noise surrounds us from every direction. In the middle of all this activity, it is easy to celebrate the season without truly welcoming the Savior. The question this verse places before us is simple but searching. Is there room for Jesus in our hearts?
The Lord is not looking for perfection, wealth, or impressive surroundings. He is looking for willing hearts. Your heart can become the place where He rests, speaks, heals, and transforms. When you intentionally make room for Him, He brings peace where there is pressure, hope where there is weariness, and joy where there has been emptiness.
This season is an invitation. Slow down. Open your heart. Make space for His presence. When Jesus is welcomed, He does not leave things the same. He brings life, purpose, and lasting change.
PRAYER:
Lord, I open the doors of my heart and invite You to come in and dwell within me. Help me to make room for You, not only in this season, but every day of my life. May I experience You in a deeper and more personal way, and may my life be changed by Your presence. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Good morning to you all.
Have a wonderful Thursday.
