‘He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, the sheep under His care.’ – Psalm 95:7
What a beautiful privilege it is to know that we belong to God. The Creator of heaven and earth invites us into a relationship where we can say with boldness and joy that He is our God. He does not keep His distance. Instead, He draws near and calls us His own people, His flock, and His precious sheep. This imagery reminds us that He is not only powerful, but also gentle and attentive.
A shepherd knows the condition of every sheep. In the same way, the Lord knows your struggles, your hopes, your fears, and your needs. You live under His watchful eye, and you are never forgotten or overlooked. His care is not occasional. It is constant, patient, and full of love. He leads you to places of refreshing, He guides your steps when the road becomes uncertain, and He protects you from things you cannot even see.
Because of His faithful care, you can trust Him completely. You can surrender your worries, your decisions, and your future into His capable hands. He will provide everything you need at the right time. Rest in the assurance that you are deeply loved, fully known, and completely cared for by the Shepherd of your soul.
PRAYER:
Lord, today I can say with confidence that You are my Lord and my God. You are my Good Shepherd who leads, guides, and provides for me. Thank You that I belong to You and that Your love and care surround me each day. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
