“You will rise up and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show her favour, the appointed time has come.” – Psalm 102:13

There are moments in life when it feels as though time itself has stood still. Prayers seem unanswered, doors appear closed, and the heart begins to wonder if God has forgotten. Yet the Word reminds us that God has appointed times and seasons for everything under heaven. He is not slow or distant; He is preparing the right moment to rise up and show His compassion and favour.

When the psalmist declared these words, Zion was in distress, worn out from affliction and longing for God’s intervention. But then came this promise: “The appointed time has come.” What a powerful assurance that God Himself would arise to act on behalf of His people. When God arises, circumstances shift. When He releases His favour, impossibilities bow, hearts are restored, and what was once barren begins to blossom again.

You may be waiting on something today — a breakthrough, a healing, a restoration, or a sign of God’s goodness. Be encouraged that your waiting is not wasted. Heaven has its timing, and when the appointed time comes, no obstacle can stop what God has planned for you. His compassion reaches where pain has lingered, and His favour opens doors you could never open on your own.

So stand firm in faith and hope. Believe that this could be your appointed time. The same God who lifted Zion will also rise up for you. He will show compassion where there has been sorrow and release favour where there has been frustration. Expect His goodness, for the time of favour has come.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness and compassion. I believe that You are rising up on my behalf and that my appointed time of favour is here. Shine Your light on my situation, Lord, and let Your mercy and grace be seen in every area of my life. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

Good morning to you all. Have an awesome Tuesday.
