‘A heart full of joy and goodness makes a cheerful face, but when a heart is full of sadness, the spirit is crushed.’ – Proverbs 15:13

The condition of our hearts often shapes how we experience life. When our hearts are heavy with sadness, it can feel as though the light around us has dimmed. But when our hearts are filled with joy, our faces reflect that light, and we bring hope to those around us. Joy is not the absence of problems; it is the presence of God in the middle of them.

True joy comes from knowing that God is with us, even when life is difficult. It is the quiet confidence that He is still in control and that His love for us never fades. The world may offer temporary happiness, but only the Lord can fill our hearts with lasting joy that strengthens and sustains us. When we open our hearts to Him, He replaces sorrow with gladness and heaviness with peace.

The Lord wants to lift the burdens that weigh us down and pour His joy into the empty spaces within us. His joy has the power to heal broken spirits, to renew hope, and to bring back laughter where tears once flowed. Today, choose to let go of the worries and fears that cloud your heart and allow His presence to restore your joy.

PRAYER:

Lord, thank You that You are the source of true joy. I bring before You every care, every sorrow, and every weight that has tried to steal my peace. Fill my heart with Your joy, that I may face each day with renewed strength and a cheerful heart. Let Your joy shine through me, so that others may see Your goodness. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Good morning to you all. Have a blessed Thursday.
