Verse:
“Go up … and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, says the LORD.” – Haggai 1:8
There comes a time when faith calls us to action. God’s words to His people through Haggai were clear: “Go up and build the house.” It was a call to stop delaying and to start doing what mattered most to Him. In the same way, God calls us today to rise up and build our lives, our homes, and our communities in ways that bring Him glory.
Too often, we wait for the “perfect moment” to begin, thinking that conditions must be ideal before we act. Yet, God’s blessings are often released when we take the first step of obedience. The Lord delights in our willingness to act on His Word. When we build with hearts that honour Him, He takes pleasure in the work of our hands.
Building for God is not only about physical structures, but also about building faith, character, love, and service. It means choosing to live in a way that reflects His goodness and grace. It means investing our time, gifts, and energy in what will last forever. As we do, God is glorified through our obedience, and our lives become living testimonies of His faithfulness.
The Lord wants to use your life as a place where His presence dwells. He wants your actions, words, and service to reflect His heart to the world. Do not wait for everything to be perfect before you begin. Step out in faith, and the Lord will supply the strength, wisdom, and resources you need.
PRAYER:
Lord, I ask for the courage to take action in obedience to Your Word. Help me to rise up and build what pleases You, whether it is faith in my heart, love in my home, or unity in Your Church. May everything I do bring honour to Your name and glory to Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Good morning to you all. Have an awesome Friday.
