‘So our eyes look to the LORD our God, until He has mercy on us.’ – Psalm 123:2
In life, it is easy to be distracted by what surrounds us. The challenges, the noise, and the disappointments can pull our attention in many directions. Yet the Word of God invites us to lift our eyes and fix them on the Lord. To fix our eyes on Him is to choose faith over fear, and trust over anxiety. It is to rest our hearts on the One who never fails and never turns away.
When we fix our eyes on the Lord, we are reminded that He sees what we cannot see. He knows every detail of our journey. His mercy is not delayed, and His help is never too late. The waiting may feel long, but it is not wasted. It is in the waiting that our faith is strengthened and our hearts are trained to trust His timing.
There are moments when we cry out for mercy and feel as if heaven is silent. But even in those moments, God is working behind the scenes. His eyes are also on you, full of compassion and love. He has not forgotten you. He will show you mercy, and His faithfulness will be revealed in your life.
So, keep your gaze steady. Do not look to people or circumstances for what only God can give. Let your heart be anchored in Him. He will lift you up, He will comfort you, and He will show you the mercy you have been longing for.
PRAYER:
Lord, my eyes are fixed on You. You are my help, my strength, and my source of hope. I will not be distracted by fear or disappointment. I will wait patiently for Your mercy, trusting that You will come through for me at the right time. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Good morning to you all. Have a blessed Wednesday.
