For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. – Philippians 1:21
Every day we are given the gift of life, but the question is, what are we living for? The apostle Paul had discovered the greatest purpose of all: to live is Christ. Life without Christ may be filled with temporary pleasures, achievements, or possessions, but it will always feel empty in the end. With Christ, however, life has meaning, direction, and eternal significance.
When you live for Christ, you no longer live for yourself alone. Your words, your actions, your decisions, and your relationships all become opportunities to reflect His light and to reveal His love. Christ becomes the reason you wake up in the morning and the strength that carries you through the trials of each day.
Paul also reminds us that even death cannot defeat those who belong to Christ. To die is not loss, but gain, for it ushers us into His eternal presence, where pain and sorrow are no more. This is the hope of every believer: whether in life or in death, we are secure in Him.
Therefore, you can live boldly and without fear. You have a purpose that the world cannot give and a hope that the world cannot take away. Every breath you breathe is an opportunity to glorify Him. And when the time comes to leave this world, it will only be a doorway into everlasting joy with your Savior.
PRAYER:
Lord, I choose to live my life for You and for Your honour and glory. For me, to live is Christ. You are my source of joy, and my reason to live, and to die is gain, for I will be with You for eternity. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Good morning to you all. Have a blessed Saturday.
