“Then the LORD reached out His hand and touched my mouth and said to me, ‘I have put My words in your mouth.’” – Jeremiah 1:9
When God called Jeremiah, he felt unqualified and too young to speak on behalf of the Lord. Yet God did not leave him to figure things out on his own. Instead, the Lord reached out, touched his mouth, and filled him with His own words. This divine touch transformed Jeremiah from an insecure young man into a prophet who carried the authority of heaven in his voice.
In the same way, God has set you apart for a purpose that only you can fulfill. You may sometimes feel inadequate, uncertain, or even fearful of the task ahead, but the Lord Himself equips those He calls. His touch makes the difference. His presence takes what seems ordinary in your life and turns it into something extraordinary.
When God puts His words in your mouth, they are not just human thoughts or opinions. They become words of life, hope, and truth that carry divine authority. Through you, the Lord can encourage the weary, comfort the broken, challenge the lost, and point others back to Him. All He asks is that you remain available and willing to be used.
So do not underestimate yourself. The Lord has placed His hand upon your life, and His Spirit empowers you. Every situation you face, He will give you wisdom. Every conversation you enter, He will give you the right words. Every step you take in obedience becomes a testimony of His anointing and favour at work in you.
PRAYER: Lord, come in Your strength and in Your power and touch my life. Help me not to operate under my own wisdom, but may I function under Your anointing and favour. May every word I speak bring life and hope to those around me. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Good morning to you all. Have a wonderful Thursday.
