“Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise].” – Colossians 3:15
Peace is one of the most precious gifts God has given us. It is not simply the absence of conflict, but the calm assurance that comes from knowing Christ is with us and that He is in control. The world around us may be full of noise, confusion, and uncertainty, but within our hearts, God offers a peace that surpasses all human understanding.
So often, we allow the storms of life to control our emotions. Fear, anxiety, and doubt rise up when things seem uncertain, and we find ourselves tossed about by circumstances. Yet the Lord offers us a different way. He invites us to let His peace be the controlling factor in our hearts, to allow His presence to calm the storms inside us even if the storms outside remain.
This peace is more than a feeling; it is a guide. It helps us discern God’s will, reminding us that when we walk closely with Him, we do not need to be driven by fear. His peace will settle questions, quiet confusion, and give us the courage to move forward with confidence.
To walk in this peace is to walk daily with Christ. As we bring our cares to Him, He replaces worry with assurance. As we trust His leading, He steadies our hearts with calm. And as we surrender our control, He fills us with the certainty that He is working all things together for our good.
PRAYER: Lord, sometimes I am not sure what to do, but thank You that I can turn to You and You will guide me, and as a result of this I can experience Your peace. I choose today to let Your peace rule in my heart. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Good morning to you all. Have a great Monday.
