“Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favour with God.” – Luke 1:30
When the angel appeared to Mary with these words, her life was about to change forever. She was young, ordinary by the world’s standards, and living in a humble town. Yet, she had caught the attention of Heaven. God had found favour in her, and that favour would unfold into a divine calling that would bless the world.
These words are not for Mary alone, they echo through time for you and me. “Do not be afraid…” Why? Because you have found favour with God. His eyes are on you. His grace is toward you. He knows your name, your struggles, your insecurities, and still He chooses to love and use you.
Favour does not mean life will be easy. Mary still faced uncertainty, misunderstanding, and hardship. But God was with her every step of the way. That’s the power of divine favour, it sustains you through seasons you didn’t plan for and gives you courage when fear knocks at your door.
God has a purpose for your life that’s greater than your limitations. His favour rests on you not because you earned it, but because He is good. He sees your faithfulness, your tears, your efforts, and He will reward it.
So do not let fear paralyze your purpose. Let His favour propel you forward.
PRAYER:
Lord, thank You that just as You favoured Mary, You also favour me. Help me to recognise Your hand on my life, especially in moments when I feel unworthy or afraid. Give me the courage to trust You, to walk in obedience, and to fulfill the purpose for which You have called me. Let my life bring honour to Your name. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Good morning to you all. Have an awesome Tuesday.
