“I have called you by name; you are Mine.” – Isaiah 43:1b
There are few things more personal and precious than being known by name. In a world where it’s easy to feel like just another face in the crowd, God steps in and reminds you that you are not forgotten, not overlooked, and not anonymous to Him. He doesn’t simply recognize you, He knows you, intimately and completely.
Before you were formed in your mother’s womb, He knew your name. He crafted your identity with care, wove purpose into your being, and marked you as His own. You are not just another life passing through time, you are His, and He calls you personally, intentionally, and lovingly.
When God says, “You are Mine,” it is not a passing statement, it’s a divine declaration. It means you belong to the One who holds all things together. It means He takes responsibility for your life, your battles, your future, and your eternity. It means your value does not come from what others say or what you’ve been through, but from whose you are.
And because you belong to Him, you do not have to be afraid. You are held in His hands, carried close to His heart, and shielded by His love. When life feels uncertain or you feel unworthy, hear His voice again: “I have called you by name. You are Mine.” Let that truth settle deep into your soul.
PRAYER:
Lord, how amazing it is to know that You have called me by name and claimed me as Your own. I am not forgotten—I am chosen, known, and loved by You. Thank You for the security and peace that comes from knowing I belong to You. Help me to live each day with confidence, not in myself, but in the truth that I am Yours. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
