‘O LORD, God of heaven, the great and awesome God Who keeps His covenant of unfailing love with those who love Him and obey His commands.’ – Nehemiah 1:5

What a glorious truth to hold onto—that the God of heaven, the Creator of all things, is both great and awesome, and yet so near to those who love Him.

Nehemiah’s prayer begins not with complaints or demands, but with reverence. He acknowledges the greatness and faithfulness of God. This is a God who does not forget His promises. He is the covenant-keeping God, the One whose love is steady, unwavering, and eternal.

When life feels uncertain or burdens feel heavy, we must return to this truth: God keeps His word. His promises are not empty. His love is not fragile. His strength is not limited. He is the same God who split seas, moved mountains, opened prison doors, and rebuilt ruins. That same God is at work in your life today.

He sees your effort to love Him. He knows your desire to obey, even when you stumble. And in response to your imperfect but sincere devotion, He pours out His perfect, unfailing love.

You may be facing what feels like an impossible situation, broken dreams, waiting seasons, unanswered questions—but remember this: nothing is too difficult for your great and awesome God. He is able to rebuild what’s been broken, revive what’s been dry, and restore what’s been lost.

So today, lift your eyes to Him with faith. Remind yourself that you are held by a covenant-keeping God. His love for you is not based on your perfection, but on His promise.

PRAYER:

Lord, thank You for being the great and awesome God of heaven. Thank You for Your covenant of unfailing love, and for Your constant presence in my life. Help me to trust in Your promises and to walk in obedience to Your Word. May I never lose sight of Your greatness, even in the midst of challenges. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Good morning to you all. Have a blessed Monday.
