“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.” – Matthew 6:33

In a world filled with constant noise, demands, and distractions, it is easy to lose sight of what truly matters. We often find ourselves chasing after so many things, success, approval, comfort, security, only to feel more anxious, more empty, and more disconnected.

But Jesus invites us to a better way. He gives us a clear and powerful instruction: “Seek first the Kingdom of God.” Not second, not when we have time, first. Above our ambitions, above our worries, above everything else.

When we shift our focus from the temporary to the eternal, something begins to change inside us. Our hearts become aligned with His heart. Our priorities are reshaped. Our inner peace begins to grow. Seeking His Kingdom means choosing to live a life that honours Him, making room for His presence, His will, and His righteousness.

When we do this, there is a divine exchange that takes place. He promises to take care of the things we need. He sees your needs, your desire for breakthrough, provision, healing, clarity, and peace, and He says, “Let Me handle those things, while you focus on Me.”

What are you seeking first today? Is it a solution? A way out? A sense of control? Or is it His Kingdom, His presence, and His way?

Let go of the urge to control everything. Trust in the One who holds everything in His hands. When God is first, everything else falls into place, not always perfectly, but purposefully.

Make today the day you re-centre your heart. Let your deepest longing be for Him. When you seek Him above all else, you’ll discover that He is more than enough.

PRAYER:

Lord, I choose to refocus my heart and mind on You. Forgive me for the times I’ve placed other things before You. Today, I seek Your Kingdom above all else. I desire to live righteously, to honour You in word and action. Thank You for Your promise that You will meet every need as I keep You first. Be glorified in my life, Lord. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Good morning to you all. Have a wonderful Saturday.
