Verse: Isaiah 43:19
“I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”
As we step into a new year, many of us carry hopes, dreams, and perhaps even silent fears. The future can seem uncertain, especially if the past year left us with pain, disappointment, or confusion. But here in this powerful promise, God is speaking directly to every heart that needs reassurance.
God says, “I am about to do something new.” Not maybe. Not one day. But now. He is already at work, even if you can’t yet see the full picture. You may be standing in a wilderness, a place that feels dry, empty, or overwhelming, but God is not limited by your surroundings. He is the God who creates paths where there were none. He speaks rivers into dry wastelands and makes a way where there was no way.
Let go of the burdens of the past. Regret, guilt, and disappointment have no place in the new thing God is doing. He invites you to walk forward in trust, knowing that He is the One who goes before you. The same God who parted the Red Sea and brought water from a rock is the One who promises to guide you now.
Your wilderness is not the end of your story. It is the place where God’s power will be revealed. It is the ground where His miracles will spring forth. Don’t let the dryness of the moment blind you to the rivers He is preparing to pour out.
So lift your eyes. Open your heart. Let hope rise again. Because God is not finished with you, and what He is about to do will be far greater than anything you’ve left behind.
PRAYER:
Lord, thank You for the new beginnings that come from You. I choose today to release the weight of yesterday and embrace the new path You are laying before me. Even when I walk through a wilderness, I trust that You are making a way. Let my heart be filled with expectation and my steps be guided by Your hand. I receive the rivers of life, hope, and restoration You are bringing into my dry places. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Good morning to you all. Have a blessed Thursday filled with new beginnings and divine possibilities.
