“A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding, and she could find no cure. Coming up behind Jesus, she touched the fringe of His robe. Immediately, the bleeding stopped.” – Luke 8:43–44
Twelve long years. Twelve years of shame, of pain, of rejection. Twelve years of doctors and failed remedies. Twelve years of isolation—because under the law, she was considered “unclean.” But then she heard about Jesus. And something inside her stirred—a flicker of hope. She didn’t shout. She didn’t stop Him publicly. She whispered with her faith: “If I can just touch Him…”
- She reached out through the crowd, through her fear, through her weariness.
- She reached for hope, and hope Himself stopped for her.
- In a single moment, twelve years of suffering met one second of divine power—and she was healed.
This is the God we serve. The One who stops when you reach. The One who sees the silent struggles. The One who responds to faith, even when it’s trembling and weak. No situation is too far gone. No pain is too old. No heart is too broken.
PRAYER:
Lord, I thank You that You are still the God who heals, restores, and redeems. Just like the woman who reached out with a thread of hope, I reach out to You today. You know my pain, my fears, and my needs. I believe You are able. I believe You are willing. Touch me, Lord, and make me whole again. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Good morning to you all. Have a blessed Thursday. May your faith, no matter how small, lead you into the presence of the One who never fails.
