“Rahab the prostitute is another example. She was shown to be right with God by her actions…” – James 2:25
Rahab’s name was once known for shame. A woman marked by her past, dismissed by society, and confined to a reputation she could not erase. But God, in His mercy, chose her—not because of her past, but in spite of it.
- God saw beyond what she had done and reached into her heart.
- In the face of fear, Rahab chose faith.
- She hid the spies, not knowing what the outcome would be, but believing that the God of Israel was real—and that He was worth trusting.
And that moment of courage changed her life forever. Not only was she spared when Jericho fell, but she was woven into the family line of Jesus Christ Himself (Matthew 1:5). The once-outcast became part of God’s redemptive story.
Your past may be messy. Your reputation may not be spotless. But the grace of God is never limited by your history. He writes new endings. He redeems broken beginnings. And He is not finished with your story.
PRAYER:
Lord, thank You that You are the God who redeems and transforms. Thank You that my past does not define me—Your grace does. I surrender every label, every regret, and every failure to You. Give me faith like Rahab to step forward in courage and to trust You for the miracle of transformation. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Good morning to you all. Have a great Wednesday. Remember, you are never too far gone for the grace of God to rewrite your story.
