“I am God, the God of your father,” He said. “Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there.” – Genesis 46:3

God’s Plan Often Includes the Unexpected

Life does not always unfold the way we expect. Sometimes, God leads us into places we never imagined—seasons of uncertainty, challenges we never saw coming, and paths that feel unfamiliar. But even in the unexpected, His plan is at work.

Jacob must have felt unsure about leaving his homeland for Egypt, but God reassured him: “Do not be afraid.” What seemed like a detour was actually God’s divine setup for something greater.

Trust Him in the Unknown

When life takes unexpected turns, fear can creep in. We may wonder, “Why is this happening?” or “What if things don’t work out?” But God never leads us where His grace cannot sustain us. The same God who led Jacob to Egypt with a promise is the same God leading you today. His ways are higher, His plans are perfect, and His presence is constant.

Greatness Can Come from the Unfamiliar

Egypt was not Jacob’s destination of choice, but it was where God planned to multiply his family into a great nation. In the same way, the place you fear, the challenge you dread, or the situation that seems uncertain could be the very place where God brings increase, breakthrough, and purpose.

Let go of fear and hold onto faith. God’s direction is always for your good. Even when the journey feels uncomfortable, He is working behind the scenes to bring something greater than you can imagine.

PRAYER:

Lord, I may not always understand where You are leading me, but I choose to trust You. Even in uncertainty, I know that You are in control. Let my faith be stronger than my fear, and may I walk confidently in the path You have prepared for me. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Encouragement for Today:

If God is leading you into something new or unexpected, do not be afraid. He is going before you, preparing the way, and turning the unknown into a place of blessing. Trust Him—He will make a way!

Good morning to you all. May your Thursday be filled with faith and confidence in God’s perfect plan!
