“So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.”Luke 15:20

God’s Love Is Always Reaching for You

There is no distance too great, no mistake too big, and no failure too deep that can separate you from the love of God. The story of the prodigal son is a beautiful reminder that our Father is always watching, always waiting, and always ready to welcome us home. Even when we have wandered far, His eyes never leave us. His love does not waver, and His arms remain open, eager to restore us.

God’s Compassion Knows No Limits

Notice in the verse that the father saw his son while he was still a long way off. This means that he had been looking for him all along. He did not wait for the son to reach the doorstep—he ran to him, embraced him, and kissed him. That is how much God longs to be with you! He does not hold your past against you. Instead, He runs toward you with love, not judgment; with grace, not condemnation.

It’s Never Too Late to Return

We all have moments when we drift, when we make choices that pull us away from God’s best for us. But the beautiful truth is this: no matter how far you have gone, the road back is always open. God is not waiting to punish you—He is waiting to embrace you. He is not keeping track of your failures—He is preparing a celebration for your return.

God Sees You, Even When You Feel Unworthy

Perhaps you feel unworthy of His love. Maybe guilt or shame has kept you from coming back. But let this be a reminder: your Father is not focused on where you’ve been; He is focused on bringing you home. His love is greater than your mistakes, and His grace is greater than your regrets.

Come Home to His Love

No matter how lost or broken you feel, God is calling you home. His love is not based on your perfection but on His unchanging nature. His embrace is not earned—it is freely given. So come home. Come back to the One who has never stopped loving you.

PRAYER:

Lord, today I choose to return to You. For too long, I have walked my own road and relied on my own strength. But now, I come home—home to Your love, home to Your compassion, and home to Your warm embrace. Thank You for never giving up on me. I surrender my heart to You, knowing that Your love will restore and renew me. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Encouragement for Today:

No matter how far you have gone, God has been waiting for you with open arms. Run to Him today, and let His love surround you.

Good morning to you all. May this Wednesday be filled with the warmth of God’s love and the joy of knowing you are never too far for His embrace!
