Joshua 1:9:
‘Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. For the LORD your God will be with you.’ –
The Call to Be Strong and Courageous
Life often presents us with moments where we feel inadequate or overwhelmed. Yet, God’s Word reminds us that we are called to rise above fear and discouragement. Strength and courage do not come from our own abilities; they come from the assurance that God is with us every step of the way.
Challenges Require His Strength
Each day brings its own challenges—some that shake us to the core. It’s easy to let fear creep in or to feel discouraged when things don’t go as planned. But God doesn’t leave us to face these battles alone. His presence is the source of the strength we need to press on. He promises to empower us, uplift us, and equip us for whatever lies ahead.
Fear Robs, but Trust Restores
Fear and anxiety are thieves. They rob us of peace, steal our joy, and cloud our vision of God’s faithfulness. But when we choose to trust in His promises, fear loses its power. His Word says, ‘Do not be afraid,’ because fear has no place in the hearts of those who trust in the God who is always near.
The Unshakable Promise
The greatest comfort we can have is the assurance of His presence. God’s promise—‘I will be with you’—is not conditional or temporary. It is eternal and unchanging. No matter where you go or what you face, He is by your side, guiding, protecting, and strengthening you.
PRAYER:
Lord, thank You for Your promise to never leave me nor forsake me. Help me to remember that You are always with me, even in my most vulnerable moments. Open the eyes of my heart to see Your presence and to draw strength and courage from You. I will not fear or be discouraged because You are my constant Helper and Sustainer. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Encouragement for Today:
Whatever you are facing today, hold on to this truth: God is with you. His presence brings courage where there is fear, strength where there is weakness, and hope where there is despair. Walk boldly into this day, knowing that you are never alone.
Good morning to you all! May your Thursday be filled with the confidence that comes from His unwavering presence.
