Psalm 3:5:
‘I lie down and sleep; I wake again because the LORD sustains me.’ –
Each new day is a reminder of God’s unfailing presence in our lives. As we rest through the night, unaware of the challenges and dangers that may surround us, His watchful eye is ever upon us. He carries us through the darkest moments and awakens us with renewed strength to face the day ahead.
God, Our Constant Protector:
Life can often feel overwhelming, with its share of struggles, uncertainties, and fears. Yet, in the quiet of the night, we find solace knowing that God is our ever-present Protector. He never slumbers nor sleeps, ensuring that we are covered by His grace and love. Each morning we wake is a testimony to His sustaining power.
Strength for Today, Hope for Tomorrow:
The Lord is not only our Protector but also our Sustainer. He is the One who equips us to face whatever lies ahead. Whether it’s challenges, responsibilities, or moments of doubt, His strength is made perfect in our weakness. We don’t need to navigate life’s journey alone—He is with us every step of the way.
A Heart of Gratitude:
There is so much to be thankful for each day. The very breath in our lungs, the rising of the sun, and the blessings we often take for granted are evidence of His sustaining power. When we reflect on His faithfulness, our hearts can’t help but overflow with gratitude.
PRAYER:
Lord, I am deeply grateful for Your unending care and faithfulness. As I lie down to rest, I am comforted knowing that You are watching over me. As I rise each day, I am strengthened by the knowledge that You are my Sustainer and Provider. Fill my heart with gratitude and help me to trust You fully, knowing that my life is in Your hands. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
